A warm welcome to my website, my name is Pauline Mabey.
With over 10 year’s experience as a counsellor/psychotherapist, practising in both Crawley Down Health Centre and Tunbridge Wells, I have worked with a range of clients in Educational, PCT, NHS and a Women’s Refuge setting,
I also have private practice working with individuals face to face and couples. During my career I have gained a wealth of knowledge as a counsellor in the Education sector helping young people, and for 7 years I was responsible for developing and running the counselling services at Plumpton College.
More recently, as well as my private practice, I have been working with adolescents in secondary school education in Kent experiencing difficulties with low self-esteem, anxiety and stress, depression, drugs misuse and addiction, trauma, bereavement and loss, identity and gender issues, anger issues and peer relationships.
I am an accredited counsellor and I have been a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) since February 2005, and commit to the ethical framework set out by BACP. As part of my ongoing professional development, I subscribe to and keep up to date with Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
